Over the past several years, Design Made Simple designers have consulted and managed countless new construction and remodeling projects. During that time, we discovered that many homeowners hire a contractor before they even know the design or materials they want for their space. Once the project is underway or about to start, homeowners scramble to throw the design of the space together. In many situations, they are unsatisfied with the decisions, but they don’t know how to fix it on their own, and at that point, the budget and time frame do not allow for changes. We hope to prevent these issues with a meeting on the front end, in the planning stages of a project to educate and guide customers on the process and design selections prior to jumping into the renovation or new home build.
